WHEREAS, energy and safe drinking water are finite resources; and,WHEREAS, without these vital resources, the economy of our area
and the health of our community’s citizens and visitors would be seriously
and adversely affected; and,
WHEREAS, we acknowledge and accept our responsibility to conserve and protect
these resources,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by this governing body of the WEBB CREEK
water utility system that upon commencement of the Energy and Water
Conservation Program survey and audit, as provided by the Tennessee Department
of Economic and Community Development and the Tennessee Association of Utility
Districts, this water utility system shall be operated and maintained in such
manner as may be necessary and economically feasible to prevent future waste of
energy and potable water. Such operation and maintenance shall include, but not
be limited to, the prompt repair of potable water production, distribution, and
metering facilities found deficient in said survey and audit. Further, routine
maintenance shall be provided, insofar as is economically feasible, to prevent
the recurrence of excessive unaccounted-for-water and water leakage with its
attendant waste of energy.
PASSED on motion duly made, seconded, and vote of 3 ayes to 0
nays by the governing body of WEBB CREEK UTILITY DISTRICT water utility
system, this 5 day of AUGUST, 1992.
